Health Note: Being pregnant is one of the most sacred things to partake in, in the life of a woman. That’s why pregnancy should be prepared for conscientiously. Bringing a new life into this world is a very important endeavor.  Because the mother is eating for two nutrition need to be good and well rounded for mother and child. An unborn child can take as many as 1800 calories per day from the mother so she must be careful to eat well nourishing foods.  If mommy does not get the proper nutrients she can become anemic, diabetic and suffer from poor health. These are a few symptoms that tell that the baby is robbing the mother of her essential nutrients. 

It is not advisable to do colon cleansing during pregnancy because the body may release toxic waste into the blood stream that can be transmitted into the blood stream of the baby that may be harmful.  The best time for a cleansing is prior to becoming pregnant. Health Note: We have seen our share of emergency situations in this country in the last decade.  Enough to know we must prepare for the worst.  Start by purchasing some kind of container to store your supplies. Tackle boxes are a good choice because they have many different compartments for storing bandages, herbs, and other supplies. It is advisable to store at minimum two weeks-6months for those who can afford it, supply of food, water, herbs, hygiene, cleaning supplies and other life saving supplies. Removing some of the items from store bought boxes can save space and time in a disaster. Storing them in zip lock or plastic bags can be a good way to store them.

There is hardly any where in this country that cannot be hit by a major storm, earthquake, flood or other natural disaster.  After Hurricane Katrina hit many television programs showed that we have had more natural disasters and some not so natural from 1990- to the present than in this century alone. For this reason alone we should do whatever we can to prepare for emergencies. During a time of disaster we don’t have the time or means to search for and gather needed supplies.  However, if you plan ahead you can not only help yourself you may be of assistance to others.  Remember the times we are in, try to think about your friends, family and neighbors as well.
